26th September (London, UK): According to CONTEXT’s Distribution Panel in the top five Western European markets*, unit sales and revenue of Single Function Laser Printers both declined by -24% year-on-year in August. All five countries saw the lowest monthly sales for the category for over a year.
Despite August being a poor month for most vendors, Samsung saw a +7% growth in sales of monochrome devices, to increase its market share to 27%, closing the gap on market leader HP to 6 percentage points in the category.
