Vision’s Annual Charity Golf Day, June 2018
On Friday 1st June Vision held its Annual Charity Golf Day at the beautiful Essendon Country Club.
It was a glorious day, the sun came out and so did the golf skills of each player to make the event enjoyable by all. Challenges included longest drive and nearest the pin. There was some tough competition!
A huge thank you to the companies that attend each year. The event could not have taken place without your continued support and generous raffle prize donations.
This year’s golf event raised £1,390.00 for Teens Unite. A fantastic result.
Shine Charity, April 2018
Vision are proud to support Shine, a charity providing support pre-birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and related conditions, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. Shine enables people to get the best out of life.
On 14th June 2018, Shine’s Family Support Balloon Race takes place. Concerned with the environmental impact of real balloon launches, Shine’s races are now virtual, online and interactive while still promoting their cause and raising money. Vision have purchased 8 balloons for this race. Good Luck to all who have entered.
Round Table, October 2017
Great Dunmow & District Round Table is a charity which is run by volunteers who give up their time to run a number of events through the year to raise money to support local and national good causes. Over the past 10 years they have raised over £300,000.
Vision’s James Gallop has been very active in supporting the Roundtable and their work locally in Great Dunmow, Essex and James and Vision have contributed to a local family who have a young disabled child. Specifically the donation has helped towards some much needed upgrades to their home to make it more suitable for a wheelchair user and to provide much needed, specialist physiotherapy.
Palace To Palace, October 2017
On Sunday 1st October Vision joined forces with HP to take part in the Palace to Palace 45 mile cycle ride to raise money and awareness for The Prince’s Trust. The team took part in a cycle ride like no other, from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle, with the Vision team completing the 45 miles in under 4 hours!
The combined HP and Vision team raised over £27,000 which will help disadvantaged young people in the UK to change their lives and get into work, education or training and fulfil their potential. Well Done Team!
