Vision Solution

Vision proposed the Avaya IP Office 500, a highly modular telephone system that offers the latest advancements in converged voice and data technology. Using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), August Equity now take advantage of improved call management, conferencing facilities and lower call costs. Vision also managed a full implementation of ISDN30, providing a dedicated 2MB digital telephone line connection and direct dial (DDI) facilities which makes it easier for customers to reach their contacts at August Equity.

Outcome

Vision's solution combined advanced functionality and high quality communications with cost savings. The solution reduced telecoms installation costs at the new office for August Equity and facilitated the transition to their new location. The dual LAN technology uses one data switch and less internal cabling, which eliminated the need for multiple data switches to support the desktop computers and telephone system. Only one network port is required per computer/telephone connection and devices retain their own IP address, so the system is much easier to administer. The ISDN30 implementation provides faster telephone communications, with lower costs compared with their previous supplier.

Detailed Solution

Vision's solution included an ISDN30 circuit, multiple PSTN telephone lines and a new Avaya IPO 500 phone system with 9600 series IP handsets. The handsets provide context sensitive graphical interfaces and large colour touchscreens to allow for easy call control.

Phased Implementation

Vision's professional consultancy provided a one-stop service for the telecoms installation, enabling August Equity to focus on the other elements of their office move. Vision managed the sourcing, delivery and installation of the solution, including the survey, the management of the telephone service, the equipment and the porting of the existing telephone numbers.

Vision also provided comprehensive training on the Avaya administration tool to enable August Equity to manage their system in-house. Changes can be completed simply and easily without requiring expensive call-out charges.
